Are you living your dreams?
By this I mean.................
is there something you've always wanted to do, but your waiting for just the right time?
I'm here today to tell you, that NOW IS the RIGHT TIME!
Several years ago, I had an idea for an invention which I thought was pretty fun. I did what most people do, is ran right to the patent office. In my excitement, I paid the patent attorney to apply for a patent for me.
I guess, in hindsight, I felt this was it!
I now had a product and life was great!
But what I didn't realize, was this was only a crumb of what I know now to be an 'inventors journey'.
After several years of being the proud patent owner, I had an epiphany, largely in part that I read the Rick Warren book "Purpose Driven Life". I have to laugh inside, because I'm sure Mr. Warren's purpose for me wasn't furthering my invention. But, this is when the bell went off for me.
My favorite message and inspiration from the book was this: (in my layman terms)
if you focus a light through a magnifying glass, it will start to scorch a paper beneath.
If the light is focused further, through a more powerful magnifying glass, it will then burn a paper. Finally, if the light is focused through a extremely powerful magnifying glass, it will cut steel.
I've heard this type of thing before, however on this day, I realized what I needed to do.
FOCUS my energies!!!!!
How does this affect you to live your dreams?
Well, I'm here to tell you, that no matter what it is YOU'D like to do or accomplish or do,
everything IS possible, with God!
From the day I read that book, and focused my energies on my project, my life has become much more fulfilling, having met many great people along the way! I have learned more valuable things in the past two years, than I had in a long time! I discovered my life lacked in challenge, and I have found that this challenge lights up my existence!
